We live with God in the Church of Christ

church prayerYou don't like being alone. Even in the family home you want, for someone to be with you, so that you can have at least a few words with him. You're looking for colleagues, you are friends with some of them, you are with them more often. You work with them, you learn and have fun. Feeling bad, when they are gone.

You see too, that people connect with each other. They create various teams and relationships. They also create states and international organizations. Why are they doing it ? Which prompts them to do so ?

And do you go to God alone? ? Do believers live alone ? Or rather, God created a community, to which he takes his followers ?

You are included in the Church

You were baptized by a priest. You were baptized by your parents and godparents. Your relatives and parishioners were with you then. Together with the priest, they welcomed you into their group. You have been accepted into the Church through baptism. You have entered into fellowship with God and into fellowship with God's children.

In the Church, you have received the grace of faith, you asked for. Your parents and godparents refused on your behalf ,,I believe in god".

The Church gives you the word of God found in Scripture

It teaches you to understand them and live by them. In her liturgy, the Church is calling you, which God has repeated many times in the history of salvation.

You have met Christ in the Church

He made you a child of God and a brother to all, who believe in him. You are not alone anymore. You have God for your Father, Jesus Christ as Mediator and Savior, Church for the mother, and all believers in Christ and God as brothers.

In the Church you meet God in the holy sacraments, in which Christ works. You meet Him in prayer, which you bring with Christ to your Father in heaven. You also meet God in the word of God, through which Christ speaks to you. In the Church, you benefit from salvation, which Christ makes present in his liturgy, especially in the Eucharistic Sacrifice. So you live in the Church and you will live in it until a moment, in which God will take you home forever.

In the Church, you serve the world

In the Church, you meet not only with God, but also with other people. God wants to bind you and your fellows. He wants to unite all people. Today, the Church carries out this plan of hers. It is filled with love. Who loves God, this one also loves his neighbor. He sees his needs, she is eager to help him. Love unites people in efforts for the common good, which allows me to build God's kingdom together. So we don't live alone, but with other people, who have been incorporated into the Church through the sacrament of baptism. We are one people of God. God's people strengthens their coexistence with God and develops their love for God. Thus, it serves the whole world and leads to unity with all people. You belong to the Church. God called you, that you and others may serve all people. You are a Christian, who is to think not only about himself, but also about others.

■ Think:

1. Do jakiej wspólnoty wprowadził cię chrzest ?

2. Co otrzymujesz w Kościele ?

3. Z kim spotykasz się w Kościele ?

4. Komu służysz w Kościele ?

■ Remember:

2. Przez kogo Bóg wypełnia swój plan zbawienia ?

God carries out his plan of salvation through the Church. In the Church too, he communicates his call to salvation.
