Prayers after Holy Communion

Prayers after Holy Communion.

I welcome you, Jesus.

How can I welcome you with dignity, Jesus, hidden under the form of bread, living in me? I unite myself in spirit with the shepherds at the manger, who greeted you with a low bow, with people of faith, who fell on their faces before you, with the people of Jerusalem, who came out to meet you and out loud ,,Hosanna” welcomed you in their city. Welcome to me, God, I welcome you with sincere humility, with faith and humility, May you, God, I was fine.

Thanks, God.

my God, You know a man, You know, which means human ingratitude and forgetfulness. But now I want to joyfully express my thanks to you - for your coming, for the conditions, allowing me to receive today's Holy Communion.
I thank my neighbor for a small service and a small gift. Let it, my God,. that I would also thank you. May I be able to say it with dignity: thank you, Jesus, that you did not despise me, that you entered my doorstep. Today salvation has happened to this house (Luke 19, 9).

I want to show love by my deed.

Good our Jesus, I'm thinking about it, how to add actions to my words and affection, how to prove to you my love and sincere gratitude. Today I will also have the opportunity to do so - in patient fulfillment of duties in conversations with my relatives, in silent suffering, in works of mercy. May I remember this. Please, God, turn my eyes and heart to things, in which I can make an offering to you. How willing I am to do this. In your presence, and for you, I wish to renew my resolution from my last confession…

Confirm me in brotherly love.

Together with me they welcomed you, Oh Jesus, everybody, who have joined your common table. In you, we all create one soul and one heart. I wish to remember Your greatest commandment, about the commandment of love. This is my commandment, that you love one another, like me ,I loved (J 15, 12). When in a moment the figures of bread, which we accepted, will cease to exist, you will remain with us in our brotherly love, in our mutual goodness. "Where is goodness and love, there is God”. Confirm me, Lord, in love for my brothers.

I present you my requests.

Now, Jesus, My God and Lord, I am closest to you, now I present my requests to you with confidence. Here you are, deign to hear, what I want to say about myself…, about your intentions and difficulties…, about our family…, about our parish family… Bless bishops and priests, help and console weak and doubting souls, the sick and the suffering.
Live, Christ, with their mighty protection in the Holy Church. Let and help me come to You tomorrow and be with me in my last hour. Amen.
